Corn Kebab

I love Corn :)! Be it any form, as a bhutta or the boiled one which my mom prefers or just as sweet corn mixed with butter and spices..i infact make it a point to include it in subzi's, in pulao.. I think its got to do with the fact that i love colorful dishes :)..Chanced upon this Tarla Dalal's recipe for a evening snack. This is quick to make, tastes great too!

Ingredients
1. Corn - 2 cups ( I used frozen american corn)
2. Capsicum - 1/2 cup
3. Rice Flour - 2-3 tbsp
4. Green Chillies - 3-4
5. Salt - to taste
6. Oil - for deep frying
7. Poha/aval - 1 cup powdered (optional)

Preparation Time!!
1.  Thaw the corn and dry it on a paper. Moisture in corn makes it absorb more oil, while frying
2. Grind corn coarsely in a blender. Take a handful of corn & keep it aside before blending
3. Mix the blended corn, the ones kept aside and add other ingredients and mix well
4. Take small portions of mixture and make flat balls
5. I dipped these on aval mixture to give it crunchiness & deep fried them

You could avoid this and you could fry them directly too! You could also keep them in pan and add little oil and cook it like aalo tikki. The deep fried ones..the unhealthier one obviously tastes better :P!

Serve hot with Mint chutney or sauce :)

Serving - 10-12 kebabs
Duration -30 minutes
